When we opened in 1983 we had six rooms, a kitchen, and a single principle: guests are not units of revenue, they are people we have asked into our home. 43 years later we have 60 keys, four restaurants and a casino floor — and that principle has not shifted at all.
There is a right way to do this craft and a wrong way. We have, across 43 years, chosen one and held to it. Every person on our team — from the front desk to the kitchen porters — has been selected, trained and retained because they share the same sense of what excellence looks like. That is not something architecture alone can create. It comes from people.

Questions guests often raise
Can you host private events?+
Yes. Our two ballrooms, eight private dining rooms, beach pavilion, and rotunda can be reserved for private use, with capacities from eight to four hundred guests. Weddings and milestone celebrations are a particular delight of ours; our events director will prepare a proposal within forty-eight hours of a first enquiry.
Do you offer airport transfers?+
Yes. Private transfers in a chauffeured Mercedes or Rolls-Royce may be organised when you reserve your stay, or up to two hours before arrival. For guests pressed for time, our helipad operates from 07:00 to 22:00, with a twelve-minute flight from the international airport. Both services can be billed to your suite.
How far is the airport?+
Roughly thirty-five minutes by private car along the coastal road in normal conditions, or fifty-five minutes if your driver follows the scenic inland route through the vineyards (we suggest this on arrival days when there is no rush). By helicopter from the resort helipad, the trip is twelve minutes door-to-door.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Bookings may be cancelled without charge up to fourteen days before arrival. Cancellations within fourteen days are charged the first night; no-shows are charged the full stay. Suites and villas reserved under our Best Available Rate may be cancelled until 48 hours before arrival. We always advise travel insurance.
